Layouts break down into two main categories, layouts that have a body area (bodied) and layouts that do not (non-bodied). Layout that have body areas are used for detail pages and list pages. Layouts that do not have body areas are used for home pages, overview pages and landing pages.
All bodied layouts have special CSS region names. These CSS classes may effect the content put into thems. e.g. All panes put into sidebar regions have 20px of padding added to the bottom each pane.

- .sidebar -- left or right vertical column next to the body area
- .content-body -- main point of the page
