Alec Hill became President and Chief Executive Officer of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA® in 2001. He holds a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law as well as an M.A. in Biblical Studies and a B.A. in History from Seattle Pacific University (SPU).

From 1995–2001, Alec served as Dean of SPU’s School of Business and Economics. For the prior decade, he was a Professor of Law and Ethics. In the 1980s, he served as a Regional Director for World Relief, responsible for resettling thousands of refugees in a five state area.

Alec is author of an InterVarsity Press book, titled Just Business: Christian Ethics in the Marketplace (also published in the U.K., Poland, Russia, Indonesia, and China) and serves on the board of Christianity Today. He is passionate about travel, baseball and books (particularly history and fiction). With his wife, Mary (whom he has known since age 12), Alec resides in Madison, Wisconsin. They have two (hyper adventurous) adult daughters and a (freshly minted) son-in-law.
